In continuation of earlier congresses on Computational Mechanics, held in Athens in 1993, in Chania in 1996 and in Volos in 1999, the Fourth GRACM Congress on Computational Mechanics, will be held in Patras from June 27 to June 29, 2002. The Congress is organized by the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Energy (LFME) of the University of Patras, Patras, Greece under the aegis of the Greek Association of Computational Mechanics (GRACM).
The Greek Association of Computational Mechanics (GRACM) was founded in Athens in 1991, and is an affiliate of the International Association of Computational Mechanics (IACM) and the European Community of Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS). GRACM promotes both academic and industrial research in various areas of computational mechanics, which combine computer applications, numerical methods and mechanics.
The Chairman of the 4th GRACM Congress on Computational Mechanics, Professor Demos T. Tsahalis (President of GRACM for the period 2001-2002 and Director of the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Energy, University of Patras) invites all the scientists and engineers from the academic and industrial sectors who are interested in Computational Mechanics to participate in the Congress and to contribute both in the promotion and the dissemination of the scientific knowledge.
- Contributions Invited:
Contributions related to any aspects of Computational Mechanics are enthusiastically encouraged. Abstracts of papers proposed for oral or poster presentation at the 4th GRACM Congress on Computational Mechanics must be received by the Congress Secretariat no later than November 1, 2001. The abstract should be approximately 200 words in length and must be submitted together with the abstract cover sheet (please refer to Congress? Website). Before acceptance, all contributions will be assessed by experienced reviewers.
