Seamlessly integrated Engineering Fluid Dynamics Software for CATIA V5 will be demonstrated at MSC VPD Conference from Oct 24 – 26, 2005

Frankfurt, October 17, 2005 – NIKA GmbH, the leading provider of fluid flow and heat transfer simulation software for engineers will present EFD.V5 to the European MSC user community at the MSC VPD Conference in Munich this month. EFD.V5 is the first fully integrated Engineering Fluid Dynamics software for CATIA V5. The seamless interface enables users to create designs with CATIA V5 and then immediately analyze and optimize them.

Through a wide range of unique key technologies and a high degree of knowledge based automated processes EFD.V5 offers a truly process-oriented approach for fluid flow and heat transfer simulations. Thus, EFD.V5 closes an important gap in CATIA V5 based PLM solutions.

Customers benefit in various ways from implementing EFD.V5. For large enterprises with established analysis branches EFD.V5 enhances existing CFD installations and makes fluid flow and heat transfer analysis an integral part of the design process.

For small and medium enterprises without traditional CFD software EFD.V5 for the first time enables an affordable and productive way to cover engineering fluid dynamics tasks in product development.

EFD.V5 offers analysis of compressible and incompressible liquids and gases, laminar and turbulent flows, heat transfer and species transport for steady-state and transient flow regimes as well as numerous other sophisticated physical models. It can be used for the development and optimization of various products such as automotive parts, computer housings, valves and regulators within a shorter time frame and with better quality.
