CD-adapco is pleased to exhibit at the ISABE 2005 17th Symposium on Air Breathing Engines. Held in the Dorint Sofitel Bayerpost in Munich, Germany, between 4th and 9th of September 2005, the symposium is aimed at enabling technologies for economy, profitability and environmental compatibility in airbreathing propulsion. CD-adapco are proud to support this theme.
The design of the Air Breathing Engine is perhaps the most demanding and varied of all the applications for which Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solutions are required. The necessity of modeling complex geometries within demanding tolerances, coupled with extreme variations in operating conditions poses a formidable challenge. Simultaneously, design cycle times are being shortened, placing a greater dependence upon the efficiency and accuracy of CFD simulations. STAR-CD, STAR-CCM+ and the STAR-CAD Series equip the designer with the tools needed to overcome these challenges. With these tools, CFD has been successfully applied to virtually every component of contemporary engines.
CD-adapco’s Aerospace Industry Manager David Vaughan is enthusiastic about the symposium. “Air Breathing Engine design is one of the fields in which CFD is starting to make a huge impact. This symposium is valuable to us, not only as a vehicle for demonstrating our latest technology, but as a chance to touch base with the Engine community.”
