IMPORTANT DATES
Deadline for abstract submissions: February 3, 2010
Decision Notification: March 1, 2010
Workshop dates: June 10-11, 2010
BRIEF OVERVIEW
This third annual workshop brings together scientists and engineers from the academic, industrial and regulatory communities to discuss the impact of model systems on the design, development and evaluation of cardiovascular devices. While centered primarily around the use of computational models, the workshop has expanded to include the integration of non-clinical models with computer models or non-clinical models that support computational work – recognizing that these non-computational activities provide critical foundations for computational efforts and that project goals may require using elements of both. We seek abstracts and plan presentations that describe the integration of non-clinical and computer models in a single forum. Because each abstract will be assessed based on research innovation and relevance to the workshop theme, please consider the following question when preparing your abstract: How has the use of model systems and/or integration of computer and nonclinical modeling impacted the design, development and regulatory evaluation of device or disease area in which your research is conducted?
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND FORMATTING GUIDELINES
• Please submit documents in Microsoft word format (.doc or .docx); this will enable speedy compiling of all abstracts into the conference program.
• You may include a figure in the abstract. However, the abstract should NOT exceed 1-page. We will not accept abstracts longer than one page.
• Please submit the abstract to: cpi.cmcvd@fda.hhs.gov. Email confirmation will be sent to corresponding author.
• Please use the table below as a model template for submission.
