Attending this workshop will enable you to acquire a better understanding
of how CFD is incorporated in the design cycle of engine parts (manifolds, exhausts, cooling jackets etc.)
and more importantly how you can optimise your product design process.
Description:
Stringent legislation on emission standards is forcing engine manufacturers to enhance the behaviour of their products. This applies to the whole range of internal combustion engines from small sizes for passenger vehicles up to large engines used for ships. The need for using virtual prototypes and simulation tools to predict the engine performance has been apparent in the past two decades. It has now been realised that to efficiently enhance the products, the simulation process itself needs
to be optimised.
