NAFEMS How to Undertake Fluid Structure Interactions - Invitation to Tender

The NAFEMS Multiphysics Working Group (MPWG) wishes to commission a new ‘How to ’ publication on fluid structure interaction.

PURPOSE The book should provide an outline of various approaches to solving FSI problems, whilst identifying benefits of doing various levels of FSI. Ideally, it should also identify potential issues end users might face when modelling FSI (no need to provide all solutions).

INTENDED READERSHIP The book is primarily intended to serve as an introduction to FSI for engineers who are already familiar with CSM and/or CFD.

COST The Working Group is expecting a proposal for a booklet of 50-100 pages. The cost of the proposal is expected to be in the low thousands of pounds or euros.

SUBMISSION & CLOSING DATE The closing date for receipt of proposals is 31st December 2009. The proposals should be sent to mpwg@nafems.org
