A Workshop on the Design and Virtual Testing of Axial, Centrifugal and PD Pumps will be hosted by Cfturbo (www.cfturbo.com) and Simerics (www.simerics.com). This one-day, hands-on, EU Workshop will be held in Aachen, Germany, November 12, 2009. Its goal is to provide both an in depth introduction to PumpLinx and CFturbo, as well as to present the latest technological advancements in the field of pump design and simulation. After this workshop, participants will be able to design and virtually test their prototypes and existing hardware.
About CFturbo:
CFturbo® Software & Engineering GmbH (www.cfturbo.com) is an engineering company offering CAE services and software development focusing on fluid dynamics and turbo-machinery. The company, with its headquarters in Dresden, has been providing R&D support for turbo-machinery design for over 15 years. CFturbo® provides its flagship software for the design, prototyping, and optimization of a wide range of fluid-related components and turbo-machinery, which provides benefits including high-level operating comfort and excellent value for money. CFTurbo also provides services, consulting, and custom software engineering to suit a wide spectrum of requirements.
About Simerics:
Simerics, Inc. (www.simerics.com) develops, markets, and supports CAE software for the virtual simulation and testing of fluid pumps, compressors and motors. With new technologies to address hydrodynamics, aeration, and cavitation in rotating machinery, Simerics is focused on providing tools that are productive, accurate, and comprehensive to allow companies to reduce expensive hardware testing and provide unique insight into turbo-machinery products.
PumpLinx® is 3D CFD software from Simerics® that allows engineers to accurately simulate fluid pumps and motors with similar precision to hardware testing. PumpLinx provides unique insight over hardware testing by allowing the engineer to see inside the pump with straightforward analysis, created with both the CFD professional and newcomer in mind.
