STAR American Conferences 2005, May 17-19

Date:Tue, 10 May 2005, 6:25 p.m.

London & Detroit, May 10 2005: CD-adapco’s STAR American Conference 2005 will take place at the Sheraton Detroit Novi in Michigan on May 17-18 and at the La Jolla Marriott in California May 19. With the further development of our fast polyhedral mesh-based STAR-CCM+ solver technology and our CAD-embedded solutions, we have a lot to share. Recognizing that CD-adapco is emerging as a full-spectrum CFD and full solution CAE provider, we are receiving support from across the CAE industry and several of our current community of users are on the agenda to share their success stories.

Detroit Event Highlights:

Two recognized industry experts will deliver this year’s key note speeches providing the wider perspective of CAE/PLM and Grid Computing: Monica Schnitger, Senior Vice President of Market Analysis at Daratech, and Dr. Wolfgang Gentzsch, Director of Grid Computing at MCNC, originator of Sun Microsystems’ Grid Engine, and former head of CFD at Germany’s DLR (NASA-equivalent). Key personnel will then speak of an exciting past twelve months for CD-adapco, strategy and product roadmap. Three parallel sessions of presentations will be offered in the afternoon, culminated by the presentation of CD-adapco’s future developments.

At the end of the first day, attendees are invited to help CD-adapco celebrate 25 years in CAE with food, drink and prizes at a Casino Night. As one of the proud sponsors of the Renault F1 Team, CD-adapco is also able to offer chances to win a “Day at the Track” courtesy of Renault Formula 1. The winner will enjoy the ultimate hospitality experience in the Renault F1 Team’s Paddock Suite overlooking the pit area and racetrack at the Formula 1 US Grand Prix in Indianapolis, which takes place in June. (Note: you must be present to win any of these passes.)

For Day 2 of the conference, a new concept is introduced: the opportunity for attendees to receive multiple two-hour hands-on mini training sessions from CD-adapco, as well as from some of our exhibiting partners. These training sessions are available to anyone who participates in the conference on Day 1. The training schedule is now available on the CD-adapco website (www.cd-adapco.com).

San Diego Event Highlights

The California conference will also allow attendees to meet key CD-adapco personnel, interact with other users and partners and learn more about new product offerings, as well as what the future holds.

Exhibition

As in years past, both conferences will feature an exhibition area where hardware and software partners look forward to meeting you and showing how their products and services work with CD-adapco products and services. A list of exhibiting partners can be found on our website.
