I invite you to submit papers on Simulation and Modeling on Coal Combustion/Utilization for the 2002 International Pittsburgh Coal Conference, Coal--Energy and the Environment.

2002 marks the nineteenth year the conference has been held, and to continue its past success as a forum for the very best in experimental and proven coal-utilization technologies, and the intelligent and thoughtful analysis of related policy issues, the deadline for abstract submission has been extended until April 15, 2002.

I hope, as do the Program Committee, Advisory Board Committee, International Committee, and Session Chairs of the 2002 International Pittsburgh Coal Conference, that you will take advantage of the extended deadline for abstract submission, and participate in this year’s forum, which is sure to be an in-depth update of new and emerging technologies, as well as an examination of recent environmental issues and their effects on the utilization of coal from a global perspective.
