Stellar Performance and Expansion Drive Need for New Facilities
Frankfurt am Main, February 4, 2005 – NIKA GmbH, the leading provider of fluid flow and heat transfer simulation software for engineers, announced today that it has relocated its world headquarters to Union Halle in Frankfurt, Germany. The company, which develops and distributes FloWorks, EFD.Lab and EFD.V5 analysis tools, has experienced stellar growth since inception and has therefore outgrown its current facilities. The new offices will be located at Union Halle, Hanauer Landstraße 188, 60314 Frankfurt am Main. The phone and fax numbers will remain the same.
After an exhaustive search, the Union Halle was chosen. Originally constructed about 100 years ago, the Union Halle started its life as a brewery and was recently remodelled to offer cutting-edge office, retail and entertainment facilities. “I am immensely proud of our team. We have grown over 200% during the past two years” said Roland Feldhinkel, managing director of NIKA GmbH. “Our rapid growth rate necessitated our move to facilities that better reflected our reputation in the industry: leading-edge and high quality.” Union Halle fit NIKA’s specifications perfectly. While its architecture allowed for a visually stunning environment, its flexible layout allowed NIKA to adopt an organic floor-plan well poised for future growth. “We are planning on continuing our growth well into the future and believe that offering our staff a nice environment featuring urban conveniences such as theaters and restaurants will help facilitate the growth” added Feldhinkel.
Based on the principles of Engineering Fluid Dynamics (EFD), NIKA’s products offer unsurpassed ease-of-use, design and analysis power to the engineering community. FloWorks offers a single-window integration with SolidWorks as well as powerful analysis and result visualization capabilities. EFD.Lab includes a fully integrated solid modeler that also serves as a preprocessor for reading and preparing geometry created in leading desktop design packages such as UG, SolidEdge, SolidWorks and Pro/E as well as a postprocessor for results visualization. Since both products allow the use of CAD geometry directly without modeling a separate domain of the flow space, and offer fully automatic mesh generation as well as solver convergence controls, users can easily take advantage of fully integrated flow simulation within the design cycle. NIKA’s products are mainly used for the development and optimization of various products such as automotive parts, computer housings, switching units, electronic devices, HVAC systems, valves and regulators, medical equipment, in addition to the building and fire protection industries.
