New software integrates with Tecplot 360 to offer sophisticated two-dimensional meshing
BELLEVUE, Wash. – (Nov. 11, 2008) – Tecplot, Inc. today announced it has been selected as a distributor of the new GridPro2D® software. The new two-dimensional grid generation system integrates with Tecplot 360 and uses its unique Dynamic Boundary Conforming (DBC) technology to automatically generate periodic boundaries.

GridPro2D was designed to closely reproduce GridPro’s functionality in two dimensions with a smaller, more compact user interface integrated into Tecplot 360. GridPro2D users will continue to benefit from GridPro’s traditional flexibility, automation, quality and advanced parametric capabilities.

GridPro2D works with AutoCAD drawings as .dxf files. Users can take advantage of templates by modifying the surface files or changing the shape of surfaces inside Tecplot 360. In addition, GridPro2D makes it easy to do boundary layer clustering and generate periodic grids.
