Many researchers use Mimics for processing, editing and segmenting their scanner image data. Materialise is proud that Mimics' powerful, user-friendly design has lifted so many interesting projects to a higher level. Every year the Mimics Innovation Awards support top level research conducted with the assistance of Mimics.
Your research is worth 5,000€. Materialise is always striving for excellence. Doing so, we want to support others in helping us making the world a better and healthier place. That’s why we launched the Mimics Innovation Awards 5 years ago. With these awards, Materialise gives financial support to innovative research projects. The most ground-breaking uses of our Mimics software get rewarded with a money prize up to 5,000€.
You, too, can submit your research case for the Mimics Innovations Awards 2009. There are 4 categories in which you can participate: 1. Innovative implant design systems and the development of innovative medical procedures 2. Innovations in computer aided engineering 3. Open category 4. Poster category
The winner in each of the first 3 categories receives a 5,000€ money prize. The best poster will be rewarded with 2,500€.
In 2008 59 researchers, from 22 different countries, took their chance. So why should you wait any longer?
How can I participate? Participating in this prestigious contest is very easy. You can register today via www.materialise.com/MIA and submit your case now or later. If you send in your case before January 1, 2009, you are entitled to a reduction on a Materialise conference of your choice in 2009 or 2010. The ultimate deadline for submission is March 1, 2009.
Once all cases are handed in, an independent, international jury, composed of experts in advanced 3D medical image processing thoroughly reads each paper. Based on pre-defined criteria, the papers then get evaluated and the most innovative cases will be rewarded.
The winners of the Mimics Innovations Awards 2009 will be announced in the summer of 2009. Materialise also invites the winners to present their cases during a Materialise conference of their choice in 2009 or 2010.
We look forward to read and evaluate your case. For the regulations and for more information, go to www.materialise.com/MIA
