Welcome to this brand new "News and Announcement" forum. The purpose of this new service is to give companies and individuals a separate forum to announce news, events, press releases, new publication etc. in. I have been asked by several people to provide a separate forum for this kind of announcements, which otherwise tend to dissapear in the noise on the other forums. I hope you will like it.
This forum is a bit different from the other "discussion forums". Here is a summary of the main differences:
- The default layout only displays the main "topics". If you want to see replies you have to first click on the topic. You can change this using the "Set Preference" function if you prefer to see all replies on the main page.
- The forum is moderated - messages posted are reviewed by a moderator before the are published online. This is to improve the signal/noise ratio on this forum - only posts of interest to a large CFD audience will be accepted, everything else will be rejected without further notice.
- You can subscribe to a weekly email newsletter which summarizes the news and announcements posted during the previous week. To subscribe just submit your email address using the subscription form.
- It is possible to include an optional link and an optional image with the post. A conference announcement might for example include a link to a conference-home-page.
