Waterman Group Signs Deal to Use FLUENT CFD Software

Leading mechanical engineering and environmental consultancy, The Waterman Group, has signed an agreement with Fluent Europe Ltd to use its world leading FLUENT CFD software.

The Waterman Group will be applying CFD modelling to areas of its consultancy services including internal ventilation, to design energy efficient natural ventilation schemes, and external flow modelling, which allows the company to accurately predict pedestrian comfort. The company has been involved in the design of a number of major projects, both in the UK and abroad. FLUENT CFD software is currently being used to predict airflow movement to assess occupant comfort for an atrium design study at Saint Katharines Dock (K2) in London, and to model internal ventilation for the White City project in London.

Commenting on the new deal, Vartan Moskofian, Associate designate at The Waterman Group, says: “CFD modelling is an increasingly important aspect of our consultancy services as it allows us to assess a design at the conceptual stage before it is built. However, as with all things, the quality of the tool being used is important to get the right result and in FLUENT we believe we have the best there is.”
