Convergent Science, Inc. of Middleton, Wisconsin is pleased to announce the newest release of their flagship CFD code, CONVERGE v1.2. This Navier Stokes solver uses a revolutionary technique to automatically generate a boundary fitted grid, thus removing all user meshing time. CONVERGE v1.2 is ideally suited for applications involving complex geometries with moving boundaries, such as those found within an internal combustion engine. CONVERGE v1.2 automatically handles all boundary motion without any user meshing time or coding.
CONVERGE v1.2 is rich with state of the art physical models needed to accurately simulate internal combustion engines. This includes a combustion modeling suite (with a detailed chemistry solver), a spray modeling suite (with breakup, collision and coalescence) and turbulence models (flavors of RANS and LES). Additionally, CONVERGE v1.2 utilizes adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) to automatically refine the mesh where and when it is needed to maximize accuracy and minimize computational expense. With the meshing bottleneck removed and a powerful arsenal of physical models available, CONVERGE v1.2 is the code of choice for internal combustion CFD analysis.
CONVERGE v1.2 can also readily handle the complicated mesh motion found within a variety of other applications including valves, screw compressors or rotary devices.
