Description:
The second exaFOAM Summer School is a three-day event aimed
at OpenFOAM users with challenges related to High-
Performance Computing (HPC). Both academic and industrial
participants are welcome.
This is a physical meeting to be held in HLRS, Stuttgart
(Germany). There will be a small fee to cover the coffee and
lunch breaks.
This is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Cluster) event: we will not
provide a common HPC environment, the participants are asked
to use their own HPC structure (e.g. laptop) and also bring
their own test cases. The test cases do not need to be
shared with the instructors, to facilitate the engagement of
industrial participants.
The focus is on HPC-related challenges, like scalability and
load-balancing, and NOT on problems related to case setup or
physics.
There are a limited number of 25 participants. If you are
interested, please visit https://exafoam.eu/2nd-summer-
school/. The submission deadline is on August 4th. The
exaFOAM team will analyse all entries and select the
participants, aiming at a balance between academic and
industrial users and a mostly broad spectrum of
applications. We will notify the selected participants on
August 11th.
