CFX, a division of AEA Technology, has released details on its largest conference ever for users of the company's computational fluid dynamics software (CFD). The event will be held May 6 - 9, 2002, at the Sheraton Station Square hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
"Our 2002 conference will be the most exciting event that CFX has ever offered," said Chris Reid, President and Chief Executive Officer of CFX. "We are putting together a comprehensive program that will include a keynote speech, user training, customer presentations, a panel session on the future of CFD, as well as a questions and answer session for delegates to put their questions to CFX's most senior management. The user conference will also provide the opportunity to network while enjoying some of the Pittsburgh's greatest attractions, such as a riverboat dinner cruise and the Carnegie Science Center."
The first two days of the user conference, Monday and Tuesday, will focus on training programs featuring industry experts sharing their knowledge. The courses include:

Tuesday evening, CFX will host a welcome reception in the exhibit area.
Wednesday morning kicks off with a keynote speech by a leading industry. The conference will break out to industry specific parallel sessions for customer presentations. Many tech tips will also be provided during these sessions for new and established users of CFX alike. Presentations introducing CFX's newest products and features will also be offered throughout the day. Wednesday evening will feature a boat cruise aboard the Gateway Clipper Party Liner. The delegates will cruise the three rivers of Pittsburgh while enjoying dinner and entertainment.
Customer presentations will continue until early afternoon on Thursday. The format of the conference then changes and will become interactive when Michael Raw, Vice President of CFX Product Development, will lead a panel discussion on the future of CFD. Leading CFD users and academics will also sit on the panel. The conference will conclude with a panel session in which CFX management will answer questions submitted by users.
