School of Mechanical Engineering of Hangzhou Dianzi Univrsity, China is seeking applicant for a pricinple researcher for NSFC Overseas Excellent Youth visiting program. NSFC stands for Natural Science Foundation of China, which is a funding agency for science and engineering.

The funding is for 3 years. The funds will be between 1-3 million CNY or EUR 144610-433840. Those are just research funding. The applicant will also get a 3-year job in our university with a negotiatable yearly salary typically no less than EUR 50000, with an almost sure future professorship after the 3 years.

The work is self-defined. The applicant, with the help of our staff, will write a research proposal to define his/her work plan.

Requirements for applicants

1. Applicants for the Outstanding Youth Science Fund Project (Overseas) should meet the following conditions:

(1) Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, have good scientific ethics, and consciously practice the spirit of scientists in the new era;

(2) The date of birth has to be after January 1, 1982 (inclusive);

(3) Possess a doctorate degree;

(4) The research area is mainly natural science, engineering technology, etc.;

(5) Before April 15, 2022, they should generally have formal teaching or scientific research positions in overseas universities, scientific research institutions, and enterprise R&D departments, and have more than 36 consecutive months of work experience; For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have outstanding achievements, the requirements for working years may be lesser than required 36 months;

(6) Have scientific research or technological achievements recognized by peer experts, and have the development potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents in this field;

(7) The applicant either has not been worked in China full-time, or has come to work in China only after January 1, 2021. After being awarded the funding, they must resign from overseas work or have no work overseas, and come to China full-time for no less than 3 years.
