We are pleased to announce the 9th International Symposium on Bifurcations and Instabilities in Fluid Dynamics (BIFD22) to be held at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, August 16–19, 2022.

The aim of the conference is to bring together some of the best scientific minds to discuss their research and address problems and opportunities related to new developments in bifurcation analysis in complex fluid flows. Moreover, the conference offers a platform for talented young scientists to present their work and to build their network in the field. The scope of the conference ranges from industrial applications to academic model problems, and from experimental, to computational and theoretical studies.

Plenary speakers are: Karin Jacobs (Saarland University), Andrew Hazel (University of Manchester), and Henk Dijkstra (Utrecht University). The rest of the conference will consist of parallel sessions with research talks and a poster session.

More information can be found at the conference website: www.bifd2022.org

Abstracts for an oral or a poster presentation can be submitted as of today. Deadline for abstract submission is February 28, 2022; notification of acceptance will be sent by May 14. 2022.
