Webinar: Modelling of Vane compressors and expanders using SCORG and OpenFoam

In this webinar, Dr Sham Rane (City University of London) will present the application of newly integrated OpenFOAM solver from ESI Group, OpenCFD Limited to model Vane machines.

- SCORG and OpenFOAM Integration - Vane Expander Case Study - Twin Screw and Roots Blower application

The webinar will discuss key aspects of grid generation for Vane machines using SCORG and modelling with OpenFOAM solver for which a customised integration has been developed for SCORG deforming meshes.

The solver setup with non-conformal interfaces, end leakages and comparison with ANSYS CFX solution will be presented as pressure, the temperature distribution in the chambers, mass flow and torque variation during cycles.
