The booklet presents a new immersed boundary method. It is designed using a solid volume fraction with a supplemented local velocity reconstruction. The solid body in a fluid domain is represented using level set that facilitates the calculation of solid volume fraction and velocity reconstruction. The reconstruction creates a mechanism to more accurately resolve the physics at the solid-fluid interface. It also opens a possible new path to improve the accuracy of existing volume fraction based immersed boundary methods.
