Webinar: December 9, 2016
Poor mixing can result in the loss of millions in investment. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) simulations are used to answer many unknowns in mixing that cannot be found by analytical or experimental methods. Admixtus, a virtual product development tool that seamlessly integrates with engineering simulation software and automates workflow, can provide engineers the answers to these unknowns.
In this webinar we will address three main issues and show how Admixtus can help clear these obstacles:
1) Overcome common hurdles, saving time on geometry setup and benefit from using a template-based approach to simulation more effectively and efficiently.
2) We will focus on examples and validation in Solid-liquid mixing, especially at high solids concentration and high viscosity fluids. This will include using the coupled DEM + CFD approach in solving particle suspension in high viscosity liquids.
3) High viscosity liquids also pose the challenge of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) in impellers. The multiphysics approach in engineering simulation software can be used to address these problems.
Attendees of this webinar will learn the basics of performing a mixing simulation with Admixtus. A demonstration by a technical expert will show the ease of setting up such a simulation.
