Building Performance Modeling Conference

Cradle North America Inc. will be at ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA SimBuild 2016:
Building Performance Modeling Conference in Salt Lake City, UT from August 10
through August 12, 2016. Modelers, software developers, owners and researchers will
address the practices of energy modeling and building performance simulation using
existing simulation tools, software development, and future simulation research and
applications. The conference will cover two-and-a half days and will be preceded by
two days of training seminars and short courses. Cradle North America Inc. will be
presenting a 30-minute software demonstration on August 10 from 1:00 - 1:30PM,
as well as hosting a pre-conference workshop.

Computational Fluid Dynamics is one of the most sophisticated ways to evaluate how the
building design matches the goals of the designer and engineer. It helps users estimate the
otherwise unknown, macro and micro environments. CFD modelers often find the software
challenging due to the complexity of the simulation and the overwhelming inputs required.
The attendees of this one-day workshop will gain a better understanding of what CFD does
for building analysis, learn the procedures of CFD analysis, and become more familiar with
CFD software. The cost includes a free one-month trial of scSTREAM, CFD software that
is suitable for building analysis.
