Introduction to Icepak

Description:

This is a one-day advanced course that deals with advanced thermal systems and concepts. It includes modeling of PCBs, IC packages, interface resistances, altitude effects, radiation, heat pipes, joule heating, thermoelectric coolers, transformers, cold plates, baffles, wall effects, and external heaters/coolers. In addition, the course covers modeling and selection of fans, heat sinks, and vents. It also includes several tables of thermophysical properties, performance charts and equations for such systems. This one-day advanced training course is offered on the day immediately following the three-day introductory course as outlined above, so you can conveniently attend the four-day training.

The cost of this one-day advanced course is $600 per user and includes training notes, lunch and refreshments. This cost is in addition to the cost of the introductory course. However, this one-day advanced course can be registered for independently of the three-day introductory course. And, you do not need to have attended the three-day introductory course in order to register for this one-day advanced course. If you wish to register for both the introductory and advanced courses, the cost will be $2400 for the 4-day training.
