ANSYS Michigan Seminar Series: Rapid Meshing of Complicated Geometry
TGrid 5.0 can help address meshing bottleneck issues. At this free seminar, find out how TGRid wrapper can help you achieve faster turnaround time, more accuracy, more fine- tuned designs, and increased productivity.
Date: February 22, 2008
Location: The Inn at St. Johns, Plymouth, Michigan, United States

Special Fields: Grid Generation
Softwares: TGrid
Type of Event: Seminar, Local

Description:

For many companies, the bottleneck in simulation and its
stronger integration in the design process has been the
lengthy time required to generate a mesh. In many typical
industrial applications, upwards of 85% of the simulation
effort can be spent generating the volume mesh from large,
detailed CAD assemblies. Numerous obstacles exist as one
prepares the geometry for analysis, such as too many
internal and external details, imperfections, incomplete
geometry or overlaps/intersections of parts and gaps. In
response to these CAD issues, ANSYS is proud to introduce
its next generation of surface wrapping technology, TGrid
5.0.

Please join us for a free seminar where you will learn how
the TGrid Wrapper can help you achieve:

A Much Faster Turnaround Time: ANSYS meshing technology can
help you produce simulation results rapidly even when
starting from complicated and poor-quality CAD data. For
example, complete volume meshing of a fully dressed
vehicle, including the detailed underhood environment, can
now be obtained in days as compared to months of manual
work using the traditional method
More Accuracy: The simulation model will be representative
of a more realistic geometry. The CAD data is meshed as is,
without any geometric simplifications
More Fine-Tuned Design: Faster turnaround time allows an
engineer to perform many more design iterations during the
given timeline of the product design cycle, resulting in
increased quality of the final product
Increased Productivity: By eliminating the intensive manual
effort engineers invest in producing high-quality meshes,
they can instead focus their time and expertise in more
valuable aspects of engineering analysis and design,
increasing their productivity and contribution to the
company
At this seminar you can expect to see a live product
demonstration, an in-depth overview of the technology and
detailed information on numerous industrial-level cases
completed during our development and testing process.
