Introduction to Reacting Flow Modeling Part 2: Combustion Modeling
This webinar will provide a glimpse of direct application of combustion modelling to analyses a chemical process. We will see how CFD is applied to model reactions and particularly combustion. The session would give a short overview towards industrial application of combustion modelling & will also showcase a case study based on combustion modelling using commercial CFD code.

Description:

In the first part of this webinar on introduction to
reacting flow modelling using CFD, we saw that chemical
reactions are very common in industry as well as nature.
They are used as a crucial tool to enhance and control
mixing, heat transfer, material formation and deposition,
pollutant release, production processes etc. Almost all
types of reacting flows involve strong coupling between
reaction chemistry and flow physics. We also saw how CFD can
be used to design better reaction processes and to come up
with productive and efficient process design as well as to
rectify existing reactor design.

This second part of webinar will provide a glimpse of direct
application of combustion modelling to analyse a chemical
process. We will see how CFD is applied to model reactions
and particularly combustion. The session would give a short
overview towards industrial application of combustion
modelling & will also showcase a case study based on
combustion modelling using commercial CFD code.
