Validation and verification is a common process for those developing new CFD algorithms, or applying existing CFD codes to new problems. It involves grid convergence studies, and optimization of code settings for application to a range of targeted flow categories. The result is a large number of related CFD cases and experimental data that must be compared and analyzed by the engineer.

One example is the AIAA CFD High-Lift Prediction Workshop in 2011 where 15 different CFD codes and a variety of turbulence models were evaluated for their ability to predict the flow around a high-lift transport aircraft configuration. In earlier analyses, participants performed comparisons by generating hundreds of plots using conventional visualization software.

In this Webinar tutorial, Drs. Durrell Rittenberg and Scott Imlay will demonstrate how much easier and faster it is to analyze the workshop data using the new Tecplot Chorus tool. There will be plenty of time for live Q&A.
