International Conference on Aerospace Sciences and Engineering
The Second International Conference on Aerospace Science & Engineering (ICASE-2011) will be held in Islamabad from 07 - 09 September 2011. This is a biennial event which provides an International platform to the scientists and engineers to remain abreast with developments in aerospace, space communication, design of space systems etc. The objective of this conference is also to establish dialogues leading to long lasting cooperation among the scientists and engineers of the world.

Description:

Contributions are welcome on the following topics but not
limited to:
1. Aerodynamics, CFD, Aerospace
Propulsion, Structures and Control
Systems: Combustion, gas turbine technology,
solid and liquid fuel rockets, aerodynamics,
CFD, flight mechanics, thermodynamics, heat
transfer, guidance, navigation and control
systems. Designing and construction of space
structures, their reliability and life prediction.
2. Space Communication, Telemetry, Telecommand
and Monitoring Systems:
Developments in new space communication
techniques, solar power systems, space
electronics, embedded systems, signal/image
processing, antennas, RF, networking and
secure communication. Small satellites, GPS,
telemetry, tele-command and monitoring
systems including all kinds of radar and sonar
systems. Wireless access techniques,
modulation methods, error correction schemes,
free space optical communication methods,
parallel processing.
3. Development and Production of
Materials for Aerospace Applications:
Designing of alloys, polymers, composites, inter
metallics and their melting, refining, processing
and characterization. Purpose built materials
including electronic, bio-medicals, shape
memory alloys, thin films of magnetic and
nano-structured materials. Nanotechnology
materials and their applications in space
technology, computational tools and their
applications, ruggedization and hardening of
components for space worthy applications,
space qualified components, their development and 
characterization. Advanced materials’
characterization techniques. High temperature
oxidation resistant materials, surface
modification of aerospace components.
Application of smart materials, modeling and
simulation of purpose built materials,
thixotropic materials. Aerospace fuels and their
performance.
4. Remote Sensing, GIS and Ancillary Space
Technology Topics includes microgravity
science, space law, space robotics, power
management, affordable launch systems. Space
technologies contributing to security, social,
educational and other benefits including
remote sensing and GIS applications.
Environmental Monitoring: Air pollution, water
resources, management & pollution, landfills.
Natural & man-made hazards & disaster risk
management (earth quake, tsunamis, forest
fires, floods, droughts, cyclones, landslides etc).
Urban planning, agriculture, mineral/oil/water
exploration and oceanography etc.
