the attendees: starting from analyzing scanned data and
determining profile characteristics, followed with 1D/2D
analysis of existing flow path, evaluation and selection of
sections which require redesign and finally the design of
new and efficient airfoils.

New AxSTREAM capabilities which support the redesign process
include:

1.	AxSLICE module analyzes raw scanned data points and
determines airfoil characteristics (which saves time on one
of the most time consuming parts of the retrofitting process)
2.	Completely redesigned preliminary design module allows
the engineer to optimize or redesign sections & modules
while keeping the remaining flow path without changes 

The overall process is applicable for all types of
turbomachinery. For illustration of the new technology, a
steam turbine will be used which includes HP, IP and LP
sections.
