Description:

SoftInWay announces a free webinar on advanced approaches to
multistage centrifugal compressor design, to be held on
Thursday, March 31, 2011, at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. EST.

Multistage centrifugal compressors are widely used in gas
pipeline systems and chemical industry. Defining optimal
design parameters is critically important for saving energy
at unit operation because these machines have high mass flow
rate and significant total capacity.

The webinar is focused on the methods of multistage
centrifugal compressor design using AxSTREAM. This software
allows quick generation of multiple flow path designs to
select the optimal one, taking into account the specific
requirements of each customer (engineering company).

The webinar will cover several compressor types including
single shaft train and integrally geared type.

The scope includes:
1.	Overall multistage centrifugal compressor design with
basic parameters including optimal shaft rotation speed and
pressure ratio distribution.
2.	Multistage centrifugal compressor design assembled with
separate stages and design of separate stages.
3.	Performance maps simulation and design selection from
specific manufacturing and aerodynamic restraints.
4.	Usage of interstage cooling for industrial compressor.
