Hi Community,
I was hoping to make a new user quick cheat sheet for tackling commonly faced problems. I have reviewed the documentaion in the read first sticky but I think there is room for another post which has quick fixes for us new users so the old guard does not have to repeat themselves. Example Dealing with penetrating Elements....Merge Nodes is great for this. I will try and add an example with pics. This is not evident in the manual or any of the tutorials. Another one is check geometry, I use it for a grabing yellows and deleting them but there are probably better uses. IF an effective cheat sheet is made that would cut down on the more basic questions that I and others like me to post on this forum. Last edited by FreeFall79; November 18, 2013 at 17:40. |

Just to add to this thread the link to PSYMN's ICEM presentation, see post #16 in: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ans...eneration.html. Very useful for new users. A read of this would save lots of people making new threads.
