The CFD & Energy Research Group, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of 
Engineering, Mahidol University, is seeking a highly motivated international postdoctoral 
researcher to join our team under the International Postdoctoral Fellowship B.E. 2569 
(A.D. 2026) program.

The successful candidate will work under the mentorship of Dr. Machimontorn Promtong 
on advanced research in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and energy systems. This 
fellowship offers an exceptional opportunity for outstanding international researchers to 
contribute to innovative studies in CFD, energy modeling, and sustainable technology 
development. The program aligns with Mahidol University’s strategic goals of promoting 
research excellence, global collaboration, and sustainability-driven innovation.

Fellowship Benefits:

Monthly allowance: 60,000 Baht
Round-trip economy airfare (inbound and outbound) with travel insurance up to 80,000 
Baht
Health insurance up to 10,000 Baht per year
VISA extension fee up to 2,000 Baht per year
Work permit fee up to 3,100 Baht per year
Work permit extension fee up to 7,000 Baht for two years

Eligibility Requirements:

Non-Thai citizen with a Ph.D. awarded within the past five (5) years from a Thai or 
overseas university
Under 45 years of age on the application closing date
At least three (3) international publications (as first or second author with mentor) 
indexed in Scopus or Web of Science within the past five years
Not currently receiving another international postdoctoral fellowship or holding other 
employment
In good health and free from contagious diseases

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), energy modeling, or 
multiphysics simulation
Strong research background and a solid record of publications in reputable international 
journals

Research Proposal Requirement:

Applicants must submit a research proposal that demonstrates the potential to produce at 
least two (2) publications in the top 10% international journals during the fellowship 
period.

The fellowship is initially awarded for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to 
three (3) years based on research performance, publication achievements, and 
contribution to the University’s research objectives.
