Applications are invited for Principal Project Engineer position for a CFD 
development project at IIT Delhi.

Description of the work:

The project involves further development of an existing in-house solver that 
uses non-traditional CFD techniques. The development will involve implementation 
of physics capabilities such as turbulence modelling, hydrodynamic corrections, 
high performance computing using performance portable libraries, implementing 
efficient computational geometry algorithms.  The project is a sponsored 
research project that involves working with the Ministry of Shipping, Ports and 
Waterways.

Required Qualifications: 

The prospective candidate should have a PhD from a renowned institution in 
Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical or Civil engineering with research knowledge in 
the areas of turbulent flow, and fluid dynamics. The prospective candidate 
should have sound mathematical and fluid dynamics foundations. The candidate 
should be well-versed in scientific computing and have developed solvers for 
research, visualised and analysed simulations.

Desired qualifications: 

In addition to the above it will be desirable to have working knowledge of 
modern C++, knowledge in computational geometry, experience working with OpenMP, 
MPI and/or CUDA, and visualisation experience.

The initial duration of the post will be for 1 year and can be extended up to 3 
years, and further possibilities can be discussed.
