We are in search of motivated Ph.D. students with strong mathematics, physics 
and programming background to work on computational multiphase sediment 
transport modelling. Students with strong work ethics, high integrity and the 
ability to work independently are highly desired. Potential students will join 
and interact with a cohort of students with diverse scientific backgrounds 
ranging from high-performance computing, physical oceanography, river 
engineering, computational fluid dynamics, multiphase flow modeling, eco-
geomorphology etc. In addition to the admission requirements of the Louisiana 
State University (see, below is a list of 
additional requirements for the open position.

-Ability to work independently to solve problems. 
-Ability to adapt to work as a team member.
-Strong analytical writing skills with demonstrable evidence (e.g., publications 
in international journals).
-Demonstrable proficiency in programming languages (C++, C, FORTRAN).
-Experience in high-performance computing and script writing.
-Experience in CFD post-processing tools (Tecplot, ParaView etc.).
-In-depth experience or sufficient familiarity with OpenFOAM, ANSYS FLUENT and 
CFD-DEM will be a plus.
