I have simulated a 3D model and the solution file is in the format of .txt file. I imported the txt file into the tecplot and gave 3d cartesian when a dialog box pops up. The problem is I am not able to see my domain or my object when I imported the solution file. When contour is checked in then also I didnt get any contours. Once the vector is check and changed the colour to multi in the zone style i can able to see my domain but when I try to slice it I didnt get any change in colour of that particular slice. can anyone help me in solving this problem? Please find the attached images for reference.

I think you should check the box of mesh first to active the computational domain

Are you able to load this data with the newest version of Tecplot 360 2022 R2? If you need additional help, you can contact support@tecplot.com as well!

The Tecplot 360 & Tecplot Focus text file loaders typically import the data as I-Ordered (just a line). I'm guessing that's what's going on here. In order to draw slices and iso-surfaces through your data you'll need an IJK-Ordered grid.
The easiest method to construct a grid will probably be to use the Data>Create Rectangular Zone tool, then interpolate the values to the new grid using Linear or Inverse-Distance interpolation. The quality of the result will depend on the IJK dimensions you give when creating the rectangular zone. If you want to create a 3D grid using the exact XYZ coordinates in your source file, I'd advise that you contact our support team - they can help you import the data using our Python API or otherwise converting your *.txt data to Tecplot format with the additional information required to import as IJK data. |
