I am trying to convert a CGNS mesh produced by Ansys Fluent to the SU2 format, but SU2_DEF crashes with a "SU2_DEF.exe has stopped working" error window during the read-in of the CGNS file.
Looking in Event Viewer, I get exception code 0xc0000005 which I think indicates a memory access issue. Curious if anyone else has run into this issue before or has ideas on where to look next. Thanks in advance. CGNS file info: From Ansys Fluent 2023 3D, single zone, ~18M elements (tetrahedrals) CGNS is open-able with ParaView SU2 version info: V8.0.0 MPI MS MPI v10.1.2 Run via PowerShell PC: Windows 10 x64 CPU 8C/16T 64GB RAM (passed MemTest) |

I had difficulty using the new cgns format, even Fluent still has difficulty writing this under certain circumstances. Did you try the legacy cgns .ADF format?

Ah, looks like that was the problem. Fluent was configured to export ADF v4.3. Changing to v3.3 resulted in a successful conversion to .SU2. Thanks! |
