Hi everyone,
I am now trying generating a *.su2 file for aerodynamic calculations. But I keeps getting the error: Error in "void CPhysicalGeometry:istributeColoring(CConfig*, CGeometry*)": ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mismatch between NPOIN and number of points listed in mesh file. Please check the mesh file for correctness. I have already turned off the saveall elements option during the exportation of .su2 file. Attached is the .geo file I am using. Can someone give me a hint of how to solve this problem? It would be much appriechiated. Best regards |

Did you inspect the su2 file and check that you have points and elements in the file? Mistakes during the setup can result in gmsh not writing the point coordinates or the element connectivity.

Hi,
thank you so much for your reply. I've checkey my su2 file, and there are no elements in the file And I have just found out that the problem is in my .geo file. The surface loop in the .geo file should include all the Surfaces in my case. And then define the physical surfaces. Thanks again for your help! Best regards |

I have attached my .geo file in the attachment. My geo file is a very simple case for generating a farfield mesh around a predefined model. Hope this helps! Best regard |

Hello and thanks, but I still have the same error in SU2 "Error in "void CPhysicalGeometry:istributeColoring(const CConfig*, CGeometry*)":
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mismatch between NPOIN and number of points listed in mesh file. Please check the mesh file for correctness." Are you sure it worked for you in SU2 ? If yes, can you also please upload your SU2 cfg file ? regards |
