Is there a way to terminate SU2 and have the solution/visualization files written for the iteration number when process is terminated? This would be useful when convergence criteria is not satisfied but convergence history implies that solution has converged to a certain extent.

Thank you for your question.
If you know where you want the solution to stop ahead of time, you can change the maximum number of iterations. If you want to stop the solution interactively, you can set the restart frequency to a convenient number of iterations, stop the simulation when desried (ungracefully), and then restart the solution with a small number of iterations. In order to restart, set RESTART_SOL = YES, and change the output restart_flow.dat file to solution_flow.dat (or the SOLUTION_FLOW_FILENAME setting to restart_flow.dat). Note that this will overwrite your history and restart_flow files. |
