Hi
In the 3D shape optimization using FFD box deformation, the parameter 'scale' in the DEFINITION_DV is defined as scale of the variable. FFD_CONTROL_POINT ( 7, Scale | Mark. List | Chunk, i_Ind, j_Ind, k_Ind, x_Mov, y_Mov, z_Mov ) What does it signify? Thanks Anant |

Hey Anant,
This is a scaling factor by witch SU2 will multiply the design variable before sending to the optimizer. - Trent |

Hi Trent
Thanks for the reply. I wanted to know how should we choose this parameter for a given problem ? Does it depend on the mesh conversion factor or the scale factor with which the objective function is multiplied ? Thanks Anant |
