Hi, im new to Ansys, using Mechanical APDL 15.
The problem i am trying to model is attached. It is a cylinder/pipe in which i will be varying the thickness in order to meet certain criteria. The discs themselves can be ignored in this model. The first question i have is, which is the best way to model this so that i can vary the thickness easily? Option 1 - Creating a Annulus and extruding to a volume Option 2 - Creating a cylinder The next question i have is how can i add the 6 4mm diameter holes to the model. I know how to do this along the x and y planes, but not sure how i can do this in the z plane. Any help would be appreciated. |
