Hi All, I am trying to do simulate the Vortex Induced motion of Cylinder(3D case ) in the current case. So I tried to use a spring-mass system. But it is not working fine, i.e I didn't get a proper curve of translation pattern in cross-line direction and the spring disconnect from the cylinder after some iterations. So anyone suggests me about spring - structure coupling.
Thanks in advance. |

the key to getting springs to work properly is in the coordinate system settings for each end of the spring and it sounds like the inner ends in your example are not created under the moving body coordinate system so they do not follow the body's motion
