I'm in the process of doing post-processing and I'm wondering whether or not it's possible to attain RMS values for velocity within an LES simulation across a plane section of the domain.
From googling, I cannot seem to find any clear way of acquiring an RMS value from within Star-CCM+ through a field-function or through other means. It seems the best way to implement such a field function would be to generate something along the lines of : sqrt(csavg(mag2($MeanVelocity),@CoordinateSystem(" Laboratory"),2,0,20,20) Where the Mean velocity is the time-averaged field monitor for the domain. This however, does not work. Any push in the right direction would be much appreciated as I seem to be stuck. EDIT: I guess, an easy way of acquiring a value would be to simply get data values from the plane and RMS the velocity within the table output in excel or something... |
