Volume based refinements in Pro-amm

hi all,
I am new to Pro-amm.I want to generate a volume mesh with 3 different transition regions. That is region1 with 5mm mesh,region2 with 10 mm and region3 with 2 mm.All the cells in the core region should be of equal size. I am trying with volume based refinements but some cells in the core region are equal to the global cell size and they are not equal to the size specified in the volume settings. Please help me how to do this. Thanks |

This is a good mesh refinement techinique and normally works well without the problem you describe. Try doing each region(=levels - can be same or different sizes) separately and then add the next as a test. I find the Wizard is easier to use and fine for most jobs. Use a section plane and clipped hidden display to view the internal mesh sizes.
