Hi,
I have a model with these files: 1- abc.inp 2- abc.cel 3- abc.vrt When I read the model in star-cd 3.26 linux, I don't get any errors when I check the model. But in star-cd 4.02 linux I get many errors when I check the model(all errors). 1- What is the problem? 2- are files format different in 4.02? Best Regards, David |

Yes, you're right - .cel file format has been changed from v.3.x to v.4.x

There is no official converter. There are two ways you can consider: 1) ask CD-Adapco (I don't belive that they don't have a converter for themself!), but you'll probably have to be persistent to explain, why do you need it; 2) you can try to write the converter yourself (that's the way I'm considering now). For the second way you'll have to create two identical models in v.4 and v.3.26 and write them as .vrt and .cel files, then compare them. The only problem I can see is with polyhedral cells - they can have shapes illegal for v.3.26.

Just read it with v32 and save the *.mdl file. Later read this file into v4.
