Segmentation error in tutorials

Hi everybody, i had this error on both the computers i've got here, firstly with the first tutorial of pro-am, and then again with the second one... The configuration is a CPU Pentium IV 2,80 GHz equipped with 2 GB RAM, with 1GB in the second computer, could that be the problem ? Otherwise are there other advices ? I took a look of the other related topics, but i got any good ideas... thank you

Use Linux. I had the same problem before using Windows. Now I use Linux and never face problems like that you mentioned. Linux Suse or RedHat is good.
