Hi
I am relatively new to star cd. I have to model the flow in a circular duct with a hole on the surface. I need to use brick elements for meshing. How do I create the hole on the surface using star cd? |

Hi,
You need to draw a solid model in either proE or SolidWorks and then export it in prosurf to triangulate the surface (create a surface mesh) and from there open it in proam to create a volume mesh. DB |

using STAR-Design software you can draw the diagram very easily like modelling softwares. then you can create automatic mesh in star-design itself.

Dear,
you create a small cylinder (of hole dia) just above the surface on which u want to create hole. The length of cylinder take very small.Create shell on the surface of the pipe where you want to create hole. Then select the vertices of the bottom of the small cylinder.Project these vertices on the shell using vproj commmand. enjoy |
