Dear respected STAR-CD users, 1st)I would like to thank all people helped me in making the helical pipe geometry. 2nd)Could you please inform me how I can get the wall temperature data on four positions (up, bottom, out and in) for different axial positions along the helical pipe length. Also the corresponding fluid bulk temperature at each axial position (using sensor is very difficult in this case as I need about 160 sensor at least for wall temp and 40 for bulk temp). Moreover, if possible how to calculate the local/average heat transfer coefficient/Nu. Sorry for the many questions. Any suggestion may help !. Thanks in advance and my best regards. Wael.

1st)
meshing strategy is you can make 2D-circle geometry, and then extrude 3D with specific angle, which is one by one like cycle. maybe you can do it 2nd) In POST manu in STAR-CD navigator, you can get a wall data through "*.pst" moreover, you can calculate "operate" command to get a Nu, local/ average heat transfer, or anything you want to get. |
