WAVE-STARCD/1D-3D Coupling Error

I'm using version 7.0.2 and 3.24 for WAVE and STARCD respectivley.
When I execute 1D-3D coupling simulation as WAVE parent process, error occurs right after WAVE only (shadow)simulations are finished as showing the message below ----------------------------------------------------------- Fluid link 0 in STAR not present in parent program Fluid link 0 in STAR not present in parent program Fluid link 0 in STAR not present in parent program Fluid link 0 in STAR not present in parent program Fluid link 0 in STAR not present in parent program Fluid link 0 in STAR not present in parent program F*** SIMULATION LINK ERROR: error starting fluid link F*** WAVE FORCED STOP, SEE OUTPUT FILE FOR REASON *** ----------------------------------------------------------- Actually, there is no infomation in the WAVE output file, just showing the error messages of WAVE starting from "F*** ...". From 3.24 of STARCD, ufile is not required (optional) and uses plugin. I turned on "plugin wave on" with the command line of prostar output. I set the enviromental variable "WVST_LIBPATH" for RSimlink libraries. There are 6 interfaces, 4 for intake runners, 1 for induction side, and 1 for EGR pipe to plenum, in the WAVE model. But There are 7 boundary conditions, including an additional boundary for wall by default in the STARCD model. In the WAVE, I didn't define a boundary for wall because it only supplies boundaries for flow pathes. Someone has any experience like this? How can I fix it? Please help me, I'm having hard time for about 1 week... |

So how did you define your boundaries? They should be defined as inlet (not using BCDEFI) and have names beginning with the word WAVE. E.g, WAVE-1, WAVE-2, WAVE-3, ..., WAVE-6.

And...
You shouldn't really need to set the WVST_LIBPATH variable. What exact platform/operating system are you running on? And what is your $STAR variable set to? |

I fixed this problem by setting WAVE command line of CFD external model to full path (ex./Ricardo/.../STAR), not just "STAR" like the original example file. Thanks for your concern!!

It always amazes me how many people do not have "." on their path in a UNIX environment. If <full path>/STAR works, then you should also find that "./STAR" works too. As would "star" (the STAR script used to be required because star required standard input).

Should have previewd that, my punctuation was processed and removed. I meant to write:
If /full-path/STAR works, then you should also find that "./STAR" works too. |
