Hi,
I want to specify tracer element like that in Fluent in StarCD. The purpose is to calculate the amount of recirculation going back from outlet of geometry to inlet which are near it. Can anyone guide on it. The problem is I have a geomtry with blower, the blower cools some component and discharges to ambient (which is modelled), now we have two air inlets which are near the outlet. There are chances of hot gases from blower recirculating back to inlet. I want to compute this recirculation mass. Can I specify tracer element in Star and calculate it. or Any other sugesstion would be helpful. Thanks A.S. |

Could you do it with a passive scalar? You'd have to reverse the question though: a passive scalar couldn't be tracked back from an outlet to an inlet; you'd have to see how much goes from an inlet to an outlet.
