hi, i was using the windows xp version of STAR-cd under license of my university and everyhting was working fine. However, i tried to use it a few days later and it keeps saying 'error attepting to open X display...press any key to continue. the license checks out fine.

After reinstalling the program, checking through xvision settings (and help files) and also using windows to check if anything running in background was causing this to happen and also looking for solutions on the net, i was unable to solve the problem.

everything in regards to installation seems fine, its just for some reason i get an error when trying to open prostar from the STARcd launcher.

I have been informed that this forum is checked often by CD adpaco group and also users of STARcd. Therefore i am requesting help from anyone who can aid me in this matter.

i thank you in advance for your help and can also supply print screens of the problems i am facing if it aids the process of finding a solution.

You must enable the TCP-UNIX protocoll in the X-Vision Server.
